Greenhouse is an applicant tracking system used by many mid-size and growing companies. Its AI screening feature is called Talent Matching, part of what Greenhouse calls Real Talent.
What Greenhouse Says About Screening
Greenhouse describes Talent Matching as "analyzing and filtering applications into tiers based on risk and relevance," and says "Recruiters not only decide which job criteria to prioritize but also what relative weight to assign to each factor." It states that "Talent Matching does not have the ability to automatically advance or reject a candidate," and its help center adds: "Humans are required to make the decision for each candidate."
Separately, Greenhouse offers an auto-reject feature on its Plus and Pro tiers, which lets an organization "set up application rules so that, based on an applicant's answer to a question, they will automatically be rejected as a potential candidate." That is a rule-based knockout, distinct from Talent Matching.
Bias Audits and Records
Greenhouse says it "engaged Warden AI, an independent third party, to conduct our bias audits," evaluating "bias across 10 protected classes," and that results are published on a public dashboard. It states that "Every new version of Talent Matching is tested against bias and requires passing a bias audit before being released live." For records, Greenhouse says organizations "can export a candidate packet containing the results of Talent Matching when the candidate was advanced or rejected, including the match category and reasoning."

If you use Greenhouse, check whether auto-reject rules are switched on, and review each one as you would any knockout question. Our post on knockout questions covers how.
